Welcome to the 101st Ottawa Cub Scout Pack
Cub Scouts is for boys and girls ages 8 to 10 years old. Cub Scouts are curious about the world around them. Our program is made to explore the world through unique adventures they would not get anywhere else. Cub Scouts learn from the outdoors, through doing community service and earning badges covering everything from arts to sports. The Cub motto is to "do your best" and we encourage our Cubs to do this everyday and to help others.
Using the Jungle Book as its framework, Cubs are typically split into "lairs" with a "sixer" being an older Cub to lead them into games and activities. Eight year old Cubs are known as Runners, nine year olds as Trackers and ten year olds as Howlers. At investiture, each Cub recites their promise: "I promise to do my best, to love and serve God, to do my duty to the King, to keep the law of the Wolf Cub Pack, and to do a good turn for somebody every day". We include spirituality in Cubs through moments of self-reflection, which are non-religious in nature.
Come join us.
